Turning New Orleans 1729: I am a young woman walking the shore listening to the birds sing the evening songs. A light breeze blowing in the trees. It is the special time of the day the last of the sun shining on the water and the end of another day with the promises of many more. I walk back to my home, which I share with my mother, father, and two brothers. My oldest brother disappeared last year, all hope of his return is lost, but one must always have hope.
