Souxie had risen from her torpor, it had been several hundred years since she felt the hard heat of the sun and felt the soft cold hand of the moon.
Three to be exact.
"Psh... really!? ... Are we going to try this again Soux? You haven't learned yet that the only way to keep me from destroying us, from destroying you completely.... is to remain in...... TORPOR." Mentia screamed, the word torpor in Souxie's mind with such a seething loathing that it gave Souxie a headache.
In a hustle she went to find her Sire, she always had a way with her magick to help Souxie keep Mentia at bay or at the very least manageable.
What she found though was loneliness.
She found that her sire had gone into her own torpor. No one knew exactly why the vampir went into torpor, each one had their own reasons for doing so. This is why all vampir kind respected the one in torpor and left them to rest, until such a time they decided to come back to the living dead.
Souxie placed a bottle of her sire's blood-wine, she had kept the recipe secret just a Boudica had taught her to, on the door step of her Sire's abode an offering to her Sire for when she came out of her torpor.
Souxie turned with a large vampric Siberian cat and a large black wolf following her closely to Soux one on each side of her.
It was time to tell the rest of the family she was awake and the things she had learned during her 300 year torpor. |
