Nightmares in the Dark
By me...
Light is an illusion of death,
Your voice crowds my mind,
It drives me insane!
I want to stop feeling and end pain,
All the time you are there at my side,
Nothing I do can make you leave!
I feel your warm breath,
At night when I soundlessly cry,
For everything you`re the only one I blame!
Everywhere I do is pulling on chains,
Twisting around my heart all the time,
If not in myself, what else should I believe?
Inside I see a light in the black hall,
At the end of the path that I take,
Which is never close by.
Is this a dream or can this be real,
There is nothing that I feel anymore,
Empty space in my chest.
From love and happiness I fall,
During the day I never feel awake,
Am I alive or did I die?
Misery and pain is all I feel,
Passing by countless doors,
Let me go back and rest.
Every trail goes to a wall,
Every door is locked,
There is no escape!
Nobody to help me here,
No one to stand at my side,
All by myself it`s so alone!
On scraped hands and knees I crawl,
I feel like I am being mocked,
Is this my eternal fate?
In the dark every shadow increases fear,
This is not a park my friends all lied,
All I want is to go home.
Now as it fades I realize,
That none of it was real,
It`s just another nightmare.
Sweat is running down my face,
Every inch of my body shakes,
This time I really feel cold.
I think of my last good-bye,
Again pain is what I feel,
I wish I didn`t care.
Looking around I`ll never miss this place,
Everything I see makes my heart ache,
There will never be a person that I hold!
