You get blood, coven experience, and money for each battle you win against another player. The blood adds to your blood bar which levels you. The coven experience goes towards leveling up the coven- which in turn helps us gain more relics that the coven owner spends to give the members a coven boost. Being in Faith gives you +810 Strength and +370 toughness. That will go up when our coven owner spends relics. Money is straightforward :)
You may see other +'s when you battle (like armor and weapon) that levels up your equipment that you have equipped. When you get to a high enough rank you can get a minion that helps you in battle and every so often will show up in battle and it gains exp and levels qq
