Optimisation Phase 2

Posted on 19-Mar-2019

Although Phase 1 isn't 100% finished (it's ongoing), I am moving onto Phase 2. (If you don't know what I'm referring to, click here to read all about it.)

Optimise and clean up the entire database. Getting rid of tables and variables no longer used, making sure things are being deleted when they should and remove all bloat. Going to move around the variable table locations a little to help speed up the variables updated on the hourly reset, too.

This will have the second biggest impact improving page loads (the first being server hardware).

The newer version of the game's base code and polished UI is running on the test server, which you're free to come check out & help report any bugs. You don't need need to confirm to enter anymore, you can simple just login to the test site at test.reignofblood.net. All updates that are made to the game will be made on this new version, which will be ported over when the new server hardware is ready (over 30+ updates made already, which will be listed later).

Thank you to all those who have assisted in reporting bugs so far. If you find anything not working correctly, click the yellow link on the left of every page to go to the dedicated test site thread when logged into the test site.

Enjoy,
Ash
