Revisited: Pets at Mt. Tilia
Pets are a gold mine of QP and Quest Tokens every month, but it's been a while since Mt. Tilia got some attention. Based on your recent suggestions, I've headed back up the mountain with some much-needed upgrades.
Multiple Pets
Similar to Minions, you can now own more than one pet - perfect for trying out new starting styles, or just for the hell of it. Only one pet can be active each month, and you'll be prompted to choose at the start of each round. All your pets can be viewed from your main profile, and they'll remain on the rankings whether or not they're currently active.
Bonding Time
Once a day, you can now bond with your pet from the new Bond page. Read your pet's mood and choose the right action - you only get one attempt a day. Every successful bond reduces the Units needed to buy your pet's equipment. Isn't that true love?
Monthly Reward Enhancements
There have also been some enhancements to the rewards available. The primary (and very generous) 36 QP trophies remain as they are, with the addition of:
- A bonus +4 QP trophy, automatically awarded when you unlock all the other trophies. The first month you achieve this, you'll also receive a free collectible.
- The +1 WP reward is now given to both the top 10 levels and the top 10 wins.
Quality of Life Changes
- Buying a new item now automatically equips it, replacing any item already in that slot
- Reduced the wait after losing an attack from 30 seconds to 20 seconds (it remains 30 seconds if you're defeated by someone attacking you)
- You now get 50 complimentary Training Turns at the start of each month
- Tweaked the back links to help stop your browser loading cached pages
- Added a new back button above the Add to Hitlist link to help prevent accidental clicks
- New intro page that explains how pets work and their monthly system to help new players understand
Pet VIP
I'm introducing Pet VIP for those who really love their pet and want to treat them even better. To be clear, VIP does not give your pet any advantage. Mt. Tilia will continue to be an equal monthly playground, where the QP rewards are the same for everyone and achievable with the same number of Pet Turns. Pet VIP covers all your pets, not just your active one, and includes cosmetic extras like a VIP icon and a coloured name, as well as access to an extra hitlist, automatic QP claiming and the ability to own up to 12 pets.
Updated Look
Each of the pet pages has been given a fresh coat of paint where needed so it looks fully up to date, including new trophy icons and updated navigation.
Mt. Tilia Will Be Closed on 1st October
To help create a smooth transition - and as October is a 31-day month - Mt. Tilia will not open on 1st October while I transfer everything over. The new pet month, with all these upgrades, will begin on 2nd October. Everyone's Pet Daily Quest will still be claimable on 1st October, so you can collect those Quest Tokens for free.
