The Reign Of Blood 20th Birthday 20-Day Event
On April 27th, 2026, Reign Of Blood turns 20 years old. To celebrate this major milestone, we'll be having a 20-day birthday event extravaganza that'll debut April 8th, 2026.
Blood Coins
A new currency called "Blood Coins" has been introduced for this event. They can earned by completing event daily tasks as well as from your regular PvP battles, NPC battles, and PvP finishes. Build them up to spend on something more useful to a party-animal vampire like yourself.
Coven Supremacy Strongholds
There are 4 Strongholds up for grabs each day during the event - The Iron Stronghold, The Shadow Stronghold, The Ember Stronghold and The Crimson Stronghold. Each Stronghold has its own unique requirement based on how your coven members performed the previous day. When midnight strikes, the Strongholds reset and the covens who met each requirement claim ownership for the entire day ahead. Holding a Stronghold comes with boosts and bragging rights for every member of the coven to enjoy until the next reset.
Today's Year Battle Challenge
Each day of the event presents you with a new challenge - seek out and defeat (or zap) a vampire whose age falls within that day's designated year. On day 1 for example, your target must be a vampire between 0 and 365 days old. You are free to choose any qualifying vampire you like, but choose wisely - every winning blow against a qualifying target earns you Triple PvP Blood, so make it count. On top of that, each qualifying win (or zap) will drop 100 Blood Coins into your pocket.

I have taken a trip through the archives, revisiting the game updates, changes and additions made to Reign Of Blood since we first opened our doors on the 27th April 2006. Each day of the event shines a spotlight on one of those years - a brief look back at what shaped this game into what it is today, paired with a small task to complete for Blood Coins. Whether you are a newer vampire curious about the history of the Dead City, or a long-standing elder with memories stretching all the way back to those earliest days, there is something here for everyone.

Personal Reflection
If you had told teenage me back in 2006 that I would still be here 20 years later doing this, I would have laughed and choked on my Turkey Twizzler, needing to wash it down with a bottle of Sunny Delight. And yet, here we are - twenty years, two decades of updates, events, late nights, server panics and new features. It is a strange feeling to realise that Reign Of Blood has now been a part of my life for longer than it hasn't. I was just a teenager when I started building this, and the game itself is now old enough to be a proper adult. But strange as that feels, I would not have it any other way. Every year that passes only makes me more determined to keep going and keep improving the game. The internet is turning into an AI slop hellhole, and I am determined to keep this corner of it alive away from all that - a place where we can enjoy what the web felt like in its golden age. None of this exists without you - the players who battle, donate, suggest, write lore, create and simply show up every day. You are the reason Reign Of Blood is still here. Thank you all so much for your support over the years, and in advance for the years still to come. Here is to the next 20 - cheers!
